Our roadmap
Texas R.E.S.T.

Where we are, and
where we’re headed.

This is a living roadmap of Texas R.E.S.T., the goals we’re building toward as we grow. It maps what we’re doing right now and the milestones just over the horizon. The plan will shift as we do, but the direction holds: more capability, more reach, more support for the crews who show up.

Roadmap of goals
2026The year we began
01Established
Formation

Texas R.E.S.T. is formed

JUNE 3, 2026

We stand up as an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) with a single purpose: to keep Texas first responders fed, hydrated, rested, and field-ready through the longest, hardest incidents.

Community outreach

Establish a presence in the community

We begin our campaign to partner with fire, EMS, law enforcement, and other emergency management agencies across the region, introducing our services and earning a place in their incident plans so they know to call when the call runs long.

03In progress
Support network

Build our support network

We reach out to local businesses and fellow non-profits who share our philanthropic goals to help us get stood up. We primarily seek in-kind donations of the supplies and gear we need, not open-ended cash.

04Planned
Apparatus

Bolster our response capabilities

We aim to acquire an ambulance or light-duty rescue truck to serve as our flagship apparatus, the backbone of every deployment and the platform we build our on-scene capability around.

05Planned
Program

Expanding the depth of service

We develop our Peer-to-Peer Mental Health Officer Program, pairing MHRO-certified volunteers with responders working the most difficult scenes, supporting the mind as well as the body.

06Planned
Fleet

Grow the fleet

We add an SUV or pickup as a second vehicle, moving manpower where it's needed and serving as a light-duty response vehicle for the Mental Health Officer program.

07Planned
Facilities

A purpose-built rehab trailer

We commission a custom rehab trailer with a spacious, single-stall, outside-entry restroom, plus a dedicated cargo section for consumables, supplies, and gear, a self-contained rehab hub for any scene.

08Planned
Training

Train the next generation of volunteers

We build a training program for civilians who want to serve with no prior emergency-services or military background, opening the team to anyone ready to show up for the people who show up first.

MORE TO COME, THIS ROADMAP GROWS AS WE DO
Be part of the roadmap

Every milestone here runs on people who show up.

This plan moves forward on volunteer hands and community support. Give your time on a crew, or fuel the fleet, gear, and rehab hub we’re building next.
